You deserve a safe, respectful space to process loss and life transition.
When life changes, we change too.
A difficult transition such as grief or loss, health-related illness, or unforeseen changes and challenges in life can change everything you thought you knew. I will walk alongside you as you ask important questions, cope with difficult emotions, and find meaning for your future.
I believe that curiosity and a commitment to learning about ourselves leads to growth. My role is to support you in understanding yourself and who you are becoming as a result of this experience, increasing your self-worth and purpose, and discovering renewed direction in life. And because we all respond differently to losses and life changes, you will always be the one to set the pace and direction of our work together.
There is a meaningful path forward from this experience. I’m here to be with you on the journey to discovering what that is.
My clinical training includes working as a behavioral health consultant on the Transplant Team at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL. At Advocate Christ, I provided support for clients and their families undergoing heart, kidney, and lung transplant and LVAD surgery. I provided support both pre and post-transplant and conducted long-term therapy for individuals suffering from advanced heart failure. I also completed an APA-accredited doctoral internship at AspenPointe Health Services in Colorado Springs, where I provided individual and group therapy to adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
Additional clinical training included providing individual, family, and group therapy at several community mental health centers in Chicago, providing psychological assessment services to children and adolescents at United Stand Counseling Center, providing individual and family therapy at Austin Family Counseling Center, and providing inpatient group treatment at Hartgrove Hospital. I also have experience providing case management services and I work to ensure clients have wrap-around care through collaborating and consulting with any involved medical providers or school supports.
In addition to my work in health psychology, my clinical research has focused on the role coping styles have in mediating depression, anxiety, and perceived quality of life in clients diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.
