Helping those seeking belonging & connection to better understand themselves and cultivate healthy relationships.

I believe a sense of belonging is critical in life, and I’m here to offer you a space where you can experience that.

Significant life changes such as navigating or completing higher education, the loss of a loved one, a traumatic experience, or the ending of a relationship can make you feel like you’re unsure of who you are or where you’re headed. You may feel ” disconnected from the people and communities around you because they don’t understand what you’re going through. Maybe you feel frustrated that you aren’t meeting the high standards you have for yourself and your life. Patterns of anxiety or depression might be blocking you from showing up as your authentic self, or you may be trying to fill a void with substances or other means.

If you’re differently abled, navigating the failures of systems that are supposed to protect you, or experiencing the added obstacles of harmful cultural, gender, or societal norms, overcoming these challenges may be even more difficult.

If you’re seeking to identify and break through what’s keeping you from feelings of connection or fulfillment in your life, I’m here to help. This work is a journey, and I’ll let you guide us, using the goals we set together to ensure what we do together supports the kind of change you’re looking for. Relationship is at the core of my work—I genuinely care for and am interested in your story and your perspective.

In addition to my specialties in grief & loss, trauma, and life transitions, I also work with clients through challenges realted to spirituality & religion, polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships, women’s health & wellness, LGBTQ+ populations, masculinity and culture dynamics, and race & ethnicity.

I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology with an emphasis in substance abuse from Adler University, Chicago and am also Board Secretary for the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology.

I have worked in college counseling settings at Purdue University Northwest–Hammond Campus, Elmhurst University, and University of Idaho. I have also supported clients in hospital and community mental health settings. Prior to becoming a therapist, I was a special education teacher and love the opportunity to come alongside those who are differently abled.
